Farrukh Saleem is working as an Assistant Professor at the Information Systems Department, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT). With more than 20 years of experience in education, mainly in teaching, curriculum building, and publishing research articles in the computing field. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2017. Farrukh has taught and led a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in face-to-face and online learning modes including Machine Learning, Data Mining, Decision Support Systems, Emerging Business Technologies, Software Engineering, Digital Forensics, and Cybersecurity Policies. His research areas include Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Decision Support Systems, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Architecture. He has also supervised students’ research projects/theses for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Executive MS with a wide range of research topics related to the computer science and machine learning fields. Farrukh has published around 45 international articles in journals and conferences and participated in 10 funded research projects. Currently, he is supervising 5 postgraduate theses, and 3 undergraduate projects. Farrukh holds the positions of Director, Academic Affairs, and Head of Academic Advising Unit, Undergraduate Program, IS Department. In addition, he used to work as an active member of the Focused Curriculum Committee, Graduate and Scientific Research Committee, and Accreditation Committee.
